June, 1999

have been attending berks jazzfest for quite a number of years and have had the pleasure of seeing you frequently and meeting you at the latest friday night cocktail hour; just love your enthusiasm, your 'hot licks' and laid-back way... you really seem to enjoy what you do... and so do we all enjoy what you do!

I really dont know if this makes any sense or not and i knew of no other way to send this to you or anyone else but i would like to say i dont want this posted please... I dont know if this bothers you but there is someone online who has been impostering Mr. Golub.... I had not been online that long when i first met Guitar9785... i do admit i was very nive about things on AOL..but i came accustom to them quick like after my run in with this person.... now i know you are probably sayin well that is AOL people do that.. but i just wanted to let you know becaue i dont think it is right for someone to go online sayin they are someone else and mess with there mind and hearts.. yes it has been a long time since i have actually talked to this person online because i use to have them blocked.. but like i said.. i just wanted to let you know that there is someone online going around spreading lies about Mr. Golub.. i know he may be use to it but other innocent people online who only come on here to chat are not...thank you for your time and if you have any questions about this i will try to help as much as i can.... i hope this doesnt come off as being to lame or weird...

Jeff - I think the captions on two of the photos of your recent sessions are reversed - unless Tony Levin is looking a bit heavier these days......

I really like the new album and talked to Steve Chapman about it

Jeff-I've been a fan since the Billy Squier days & love the "new direction". Wanna Funk? is a great, toe-tappin' opener. Keep putting out the great music! What happened to Bobby C.? Saw you did a dedication on one of the CD's liner notes & was unaware he'd passed on. He was a great drummer (person too, I'm sure) & will be missed. Hope to see you on the road soon!

Hey Jeff, My wife and I just got back from seeing you at coombs riverbend ranch. You were awesome. I will treasure my signed t-shirt and CD for life. Your solo on "Naked City" was unreal. That song has been in my head every since we left Fresno. I hope you and Avenue Blue return in September and of course we will be on the front row. We love you Jeff!

Jeff, love the new CD, "out of the Blue". I've been listening to it for a few weeks now and it continues to grow on me. Some (alot) of the most soulful guitar playing I've ever heard. My son Austin had to clue me in on the title. I was also pleasently surprised when after two weeks I Finally found Wanna Funk Some More! It was like getting another new release. The CD covers all the bases. I especially love Mantecca and Lost Paridise. I keep checking your schedule but I don't see any dates at the IMAC in Huntington. How about it Jeff, come out and see us. My son Austin has been listening to you since your first Avenue Blue CD and even used a cover of Naked City for his demo tape for Berklee College of Music Summer Guitar Program. He'd love to here from you. His e-mail address is listed here. One more question. Did you ever play in a group in the Boston area (Johnathon Swifts in Cambridge) called the Night Visitors?

Hi Jeff.... Just a quick note to commend you on your superb new release "Out of the Blue".I knew my agonizing wait for its arrival would be rewarded....in a big way...and I was far from dissappointed.During one of the many times I`ve been playing it my 3 yr old daughter even declared " Daddy ..I like this.." I could try to pick out my favorite track but its to difficult because I love every song. Many kudos.... Now if I can only catch a live show...There are a couple good jazz fest`s up here in "capital land" even the new Albany Jazz Festival...hmmmmm. Well best of luck on the new cd,and I will continue to turn on all the lovers of good music on to your sound......keep on keepin` on
