ARCHIVE GUESTBOOK
JUNE, 2000

I'm usually pretty on top of Avenue Blue and Jeff ever since I became a die hard fan a few years ago, but I hadn't been to the web page in a long time. So I went to the home page today and BAM! A new CD is out!! When will it be available? I listened to the cut "No two ways about it" and once again I am hooked on the Ave! Quick question: is Jeff dropping the name "Avenue Blue" altogether? It's just something about that name that I love. I took my 8 year old son to see Jeff in concert, and he loved it. He even asked Jeff why he "makes funny faces when he plays". Jeff was so nice to take time to answer my son's questions, the man is truly down to earth. Thanks so much for sharing your gift with all of us, next time the Ave is in So Cali, I will be there!!!

Great thanks from an amazed fan. The more I hear the more I want to hear - your music just keeps gettin' better. Can't wait to see you at Woodland Park Zoo on August 2nd - I will be in the FRONT ROW to watch and learn. I just started playing guitar about a year ago, and I am all out into the bluesy jazz solo stuff that you've got going. Do you have any sheet music out? You should - even my skeptic hard core rock friend was digging your music. Anyways, good luck and KEEP THOSE ALBUMS ROLLIN' OUT. Can't wait for the great jam sounds of your newest (when I can find it).

P.S.-The equip page is definitely a good addition - long it may be, but as a new player searchin' for sounds, it was a great way to get the tap on where yours come from. TX

Jeff, I really dig your music. In fact I'm listening to your latest as I type. Dangerous Curves is on the money, you always manage to deliver some nice & funky grooves. No one can say that you're a 'SmoothJazz' player! Your chops are just too Hot! Peace and much success to you, Rob...

It's odd when you are bored one day, only to find that when you you type your own name in a browser, you discover a famous musician. I am now quite curious about your(Jeff's) music. Of course, I now use this as a cheap party trick and show everyone that there is a JEFF GOLUB.com. Wacky stuff. Nice to see another person in this world with such a rare name.

Jeff; Greetings from Cleveland. Being in radio has its perks. Just received our advanced copies of
your new cd "Dangerous Curves". What an awesome project! WE've been playing the first single,
"No Two Ways About It" for a few weeks now and the calls keep coming in. Love your cover of Smash Mouth's
"Walking On The Sun" and Grover's "Mr Magic". And when I started to play the title song at home, our
11 month old son Sean started to bounce in his high chair. Can't wait for June 20th when the rest
of the public can hear it. And we're looking forward to seeing you back home here in Cleveland on
July 22 for the Sax & Guitars show. Again, great job!

Jeff,
It is I again, the "other" Jeff Golub. You and I have exchanged e-mail a couple of times in previous years, and it was a pleasure to be in contact with you. As a reminder, I am Dr. Jeff Golub, Associate Professor of English Education at the University of South Florida, Tampa. I prepare students who wish to teach English in the public schools at either the middle or senior high school levels of instruction.
I am writing for two reasons: First, I received an e-mail note from one of your fans who thought I was you (which, in a way, I am!). Your fan writes...

"Are you the Jeff Golub who recorded Avenue Blue, because if so, I'd like to ask how Cliff got that kickass growly bass on Gimmie Some. I assume he's playing at least a 5-string? If you're not said Jeff Golub, sorry to have bothered you!
Phil"
====
I wrote back to Phil and said I'd forward his note to you.
Second reason for writing: I see from your tour schedule that you will be in Clearwater, FL in September. Any chance I can meet you at that time? I'll certainly buy a ticket and be in the audience for your concert. Wouldn't miss it for the world. But it would be nice to meet you in person, too. Let me know if this is possible. My e-mail address is golub54@aol.com
All best wishes,
Jeff Golub (the "other"one)
