APRIL, 1999

Hey, nice mix-up on Steve's pictures. Tony Levin looks a lot like Arte Smith to me! Steve, of course, looks great in all the shots!

Hi Jeff,
I've been a serious fan of yours since I discovered your music three years ago. I have all your albums to date (all signed by you) and I can hardly wait to get the new one.
Naked City is still my favorite, and I defy anyone to sit still during some of the tracks on that CD.
I've become spoiled here in southern California with being able to see you and other groups in small intimate venues, and I'm really looking forward to seeing you this summer. I expect to be at the Hyatt Newporter in July, CD in hand.
My boyfriend thinks I'm the world's oldest groupie, because I'm not afraid to approach artists to get a signature or just to let them know how much the music is appreciated, and your music is WONDERFUL!! Thank you so much!

To Jeff Golub:
I'am a big fan of yours. Ever since I saw you at the Pasadena JazzFest last year.As much as I enjoyed listening to you on the radio and CD's, you were great in a live performance.I especially was "jazzed" to see Lee Thornberg playing trumpet that day, since I,ve been a big fan of his from his days playing with Tower of Power.I would appreciate any information regarding your appearances in the Southern California area this summer. Also any information on promotional items, such as T-shirts etc.

My address is: Adriel Guitron
25866 Pumalo St.
San Bernardino, Ca. 92404

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you in advance and also to thank you for all the fine music you put out. I hope to see you a couple of times this summer!
Thanks again.

Jeff- I hope you come back to Florida soon- I missed you at Pleasure Island last time you were there. I'm a 17 year old guitarist, and I have a smokin quartet that plays about once a month locally, and I was wondering if there were any way I could obtain some lead sheets to a few of your tunes- I can't wait for the new CD, and keep up your great work!

I caught your show at the Berks Jazz Fest. You were marvelous! Got some great pictures with the digital camera, especially one of you and Rick Braun at the "autograph" table. Thanks for the great music! See you in Ohio again hopefully.

Jeff, your show at the Dark Star was great. I enjoyed talking to you. Hope you can provide my son Austin with some advice and direction for his talents. He has progressed tremendously since seeing you at the IMAC in Huntington. I keep stressing the importance of style and striving for perfection in his playing and for a 15 year old, I think he is doing unbelievable work. Any words of encouragement or advice from you would mean the world to him. He respects you as a guitar player and after talking to you, I think his instinct are right on the money!. Thanks for the heads up via your website and kee us informed! Loved the show! Let us know when your going to play the Dark Star again and I'll bring Austin with me! Keep the ball rolling! Kevin
