Hi, Jeff
Well, after waiting YEARS for you to perform in Denver, I had to be out of town the night of G&S (9/12/03); I couldn't believe the irony of it, and it was on a Friday night to boot; We have so many concerts during the week and the weekend ones are much better for people like me who get up at the crack of dawn to get up and go to work during the week;
Anyway, my husband, brother-in-law and sister-in-law caught the show and they said it was great; They called me on the cell phone (I was in Salt Lake City) when you were playing and let me listen for a minute; Sure wish I could have actually been there;
Sure hope you can make it back to Denver before too long; Hope you enjoyed playing the Paramount; It's a cool venue;
Oh, and I LOVE 'Soul Sessions';;;;still playing it over and over in my car;
THANK YOU!!!
Take care,
Wendy

I was channel surfing last night and heard you playing in Columbus and I stopped surfing immediately; Your music is refreshing and so dynamic, you just can't help but wait to see what is next; The use of accents and crecendos make it remarkable; I have been playing drums since I was 9 years old (27 now), and been in hibernation to finish college and start a family; Now I am trying to find what I want to do musically and this style hits the nail right on the head; I am going to purchase your CD's soon; Thanks for uplift!!!

Jeff, Your new Soul Sessions CD is fantastic; Your music and outstanding style never fail to bring a smile to my face; Have you ever considered recording a 'live' CD? I and my family have seen you several times in Reading, PA; If you are not in the line-up for the 2004 Berks Jazz Fest, I think I may just have to boycott it! I also really like your 'What's in my CD Player' section; What's in mine? ; ; ; all five slots are currently filled with Avenue Blue/Jeff Golub music! Keep those wonderful tunes coming!

Lauren,
the song would be Naked City--live version is much better than studio--that personal touch; Sends tingles down your spine;

It was my pleasure to be at the show 8/20 - prior to one song, Jeff talked about being in New York – being alone amongst everybody in the city – and the piece was soulful and special;
I need to know the name of that song;
Thank you , thank you!

Hi Jeff,
Congratulations on SOUL SESSIONS! I LOVE this album; my faves being 'Pass It On' (LOVE that you've got all the G&S guys on it!), 'Boom Boom', 'Nubian Blue' and 'Back Home', which is classic JG!
I had such a blast at the G&S concert at the Rodney Strong Winery in Healdsburg! You all play so beautifully together - I think this is the best lineup they've had yet! Having you play 'Boom Boom' was a happy surprise - glad you got to plug SOUL SESSIONS there (but too bad we had to wait until the Tuesday AFTER the show to get it!);;;folks all around me were really excited and couldn't wait to go out and buy it! But I gotta tell ya, hearing you perform live has gotten me TERRIBLY spoiled - it's so hard to listen to such a good CD when I know how you put so much MORE into the live performances - 'Stockholm' is so incredibly moving with all the added riffs and phrasing! And the two-handed plucking was spectacular!
And inasmuch as I promised you sushi 'next time you came around', I opted not to bring it for ya as I didn't want it to spoil in the heat - nothing worse than you becoming ill AND me being responsible for it! Your other fans would never forgive me!! If the weather permits, you'll get your plate;;;but that just means you'll have to make your way back to the San Francisco Bay Area in order to get it! ;-) So what are your favorites?
Continued success with SOUL SESSIONS and the rest of the G&S tour (every time I hear 'Pass It On', I'll think of all of you and that hot, sizzling afternoon)! First it was Sacramento, then Healdsburg;;;I hope it doesn't take another year until I see you again this way! Come back soon - I miss you already!
Best wishes on the Cerritos G&S gigs;;;(those lucky people!)

Jeff,
What can I say? I finally picked up Soul Sessions and it's fantastic (just as I expected it would be)! A few early favorites for me are Playin' It Cool and Vibrolux; I love a laid back groove like Playin' It Cool; A few questions/requests (if I may be so bold):
Do you ever plan to tour on your own? I've seen you several times with Guitars & Saxes and while it's a fantastic show, I would love to see you on your own so you could really stretch your legs and play;
Do you ever plan to do any sort of instructional book or video? I know you are super busy recording, touring and with a family, but I'd love to see an instructional video from you on various scales, exercises and licks you've learned over the years;
Do you plan to post anymore sheet music from your songs on the site? I know I should be learning the stuff by ear, but I'm not that good yet and it would sure help!
Keep on churnin' out the great music! You inspire me to play every time I hear it;
Take care,
D;J; Stachniak

I received your new CD 'Soul Sessions' from the local smoothjazz station 105;9 FM as a part of a gift set for choosing to play my Dream Set; While in college I played guitar with many different bands and have always enjoyed listening to a variety of fellow guitar players; This is a great album; Smooth and soulful guitar, nothing flashy, just great music; Soulful guitar playing can only come from deep within a person's soul; Jeff, you have it man; I wish you much success; I am putting you on my list of jazz guitar music to buy;
